NFSMI FUNDamentals - General Information
This software is designed for use by individuals with a working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping.
What is NFSMI FUNDamentals?
NFSMI Fundamentals is a computerized financial management information system that will assist school foodservice administrators in analyzing and interpreting the financial outcomes of their operation so they can make better financial decisions. It will also allow administrators to compare their operation with other similar operations.
System Requirements
Before installing the NFSMI FUNDamental software, please verify your computer system meets the following requirements:

  • Hard Drive space: 60MB of free hard disk space
How do I obtain the NFSMI FUNDamentals software?

The software can be downloaded (below). The software downloaded from the web does not require a CD-ROM drive. A step-by-step Users Guide is available for download from the web site (below).

How do I install the NFSMI FUNDamentals software?

You will be prompted to fill out a form with your contact information. This information will be used to assign your registration code. Complete the form and click the Submit button. Next click the NFSMI FUNDamentals Full Installation link. Save the file to your computer (usually on your desktop or in the MyDocuments folder)

Right-click the FUNDamentals installer and select 'Run as Administrator'. The software installer is password protected. Enter 7277233FULL as the password. Once the password has been entered, the user will be able to click the Install button to proceed. The installer will guide the user through the setup options and steps required for a successful installation.

Registration Code

The form submitted prior to downloading is sent automatically to Visual Solutions. A support specialist will review the request and send an email to the address that was submitted. This email contains the NFSMI Registration Code that specifically identifies the School Food Authority you have requested. Please allow 1-2 hours for this verification process, or you may contact Visual Solutions at 1-888-228-3120 to receive your registration code immediately.

Before using the software, the NFSMI Registration Code must be entered and activated. Additionaly, the NFSMI FUNDamentals Setup Wizard must be completed.
